Topanga Vintage Market

Hello, all! Long time no see (if anyone's reading this, that is)! School is crazy, but no excuses; let's get started with today's blog post.

Last Sunday, I spent a good five hours at the Topanga Vintage Market in Woodland Hills. In essence, it's a flea market that sells primarily vintage and antique items--right up my alley. It's held every fourth Sunday of the month at Pierce College from 8 AM to 3. I love it and go as often as I can.

Upon entrance, you're given a sticker that pretty much serves as your ticket. The stickers always have cute sayings on them. I went with my friend, and hers said "I have more junk!" in Spanish; mine said "vintage vamp" (quite appropriately, I might add!)

We scored a bunch of stuff at great bargains. Stay tuned for my haul from this trip! For now, here's what I wore:

Taking a back photo was my friend's idea, but I think I'll do it more often!

Hat: Vintage
Dress: TJ Maxx
Bag: Vintage
Shoes: Reflection

All photos were courtesy of my friend Bao and the friendly passerby who took this photo!

Wrapped up in all this excitement, I forgot to take photos of the booths and whatnot, but to anyone who lives in or is visiting the Los Angeles/Woodland Hills area, I definitely recommend stopping by the Topanga Vintage Market! Admission is only $2, and children under 12 are free. It's run by lovely people, and great crowds show up every month!

Stay beautiful,
Patricia

March Lifestyle Challenge

Happy March 4th, everyone! John Green has informed the world that today's the only day that is also a sentence. Isn't wordplay beautiful?

Speaking of beautiful, let's talk about you!

This month's lifestyle challenge is another little milestone we can make to learn to love and appreciate ourselves. Daylight Savings Time falls on this month, and I'm using that as an inspiration for this challenge. As we turn our clocks forward, let's push ourselves forward in doing so.

The March lifestyle challenge is:

     compliment yourself.

Take a moment every day, look in the mirror, and tell yourself something nice! It can be something as great as "I feel and look amazing today," or something as tiny as "Hey, my hair doesn't look as horrible as usual!" Anything that can boost your self-confidence works just fine.

Good luck everyone!

Stay beautiful,
Patricia
